Nashville for my Birthday! — Part Three

On our last day in Nashville in April 2019, we walked around the Gaylord Opryland Resort which had a greenhouse inside its hotel! The atrium has beautiful plants, flowers, water features, and even some waterfalls! We didn’t stay a night here because it was so expensive, but it was open for outside guests to walk around. There’s even a river running through their conservatory! You can ride a boat around the river, but I didn’t feel it would be worth it, and the ticket price was not cheap. You can walk around and see everything just fine. It was fun to walk around seeing all of the plants and flowers!

They even had some restaurants within the greenhouse section, and we ate sushi in the middle of it! I love sushi! My boyfriend (now husband!) took me to some sushi restaurants when we first started dating, and it was so fun to try new rolls at each place. I had had sushi before, but I didn’t realize how many types and flavors there were!

Okay, back to Nashville — After we left the Gaylord Opryland Resort, we discovered that it was pouring down rain outside. We decided to go to the mall (the same one that had the Aquarium Restaurant) and stay inside. Since it was a Monday in April, there was hardly anyone inside, which was nice because I do not like crowded places! We went to Dave and Buster’s to play arcade games, and we went to The Escape Game to do an escape room. It was a bit harder to complete since there was only two of us, and we did have to ask for a few clues, but we were able to escape in time! Afterwards, we did a tasting at Grinder’s Switch Winery and drove back to the hotel to watch the final March Madness men’s college basketball game of the season.

My birthday weekend in Nashville was a lot of fun, and I am so glad I was able to experience this city. We drove down on a Saturday, explored for two full days, and drove back home on a Tuesday. I definitely recommend visiting this large Midwestern city!
