End of the Red Panda Weekend
After our time at the zoo, David and I headed out for dinner. While we were driving to see the Chief Leatherlips monument on Friday night, I had seen a restaurant named Ty Ginger Asian Bistro. I looked it up on my phone and discovered that it served dim sum! It had been a long time since we had eaten dim sum, so we ate at Ty Ginger on Saturday night. Dim sum is small Chinese dishes similar to how Spain has tapas. We ate custard buns and Siu Mai, which are pork and shrimp dumplings, along with other types of dumplings, potstickers, and steamed items. We were both stuffed by the end of the night!
On Sunday, it was pouring down rain, which meant that we couldn’t go see some of the sights that David had found in his research. He had discovered a rock garden and waterfalls between Columbus, Ohio and our home. But since it was raining, we just headed home. On the way, I saw signs for the Warm Glow Candle Outlet in Centerville, Indiana. I had noticed signs for it when we were driving to Ohio on Friday, and it looked interesting. It has a large candle sculpture outside! Inside, it sells lots of candles, crafts, and wine. We didn’t purchase anything, but it was fun to see everything, and it was nice to stretch our legs from the long car ride.
We also stopped at Urban Vines Winery and Brewery in Westfield, Indiana where we had a wine tasting in one of their heated igloos! We tasted a wine called Winearita, which tastes exactly like a margarita! We also tasted a PB&J wine that tasted exactly like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich!
We definitely enjoyed our weekend! Stay tuned to my Meandering Mandy blog for more of my travel adventures!
